The Metals We Use

Gold Quality

The purity of gold is measured in carats. Pure gold is too soft to be used effectively in jewellery, so it is alloyed with other metals to increase its strength and durability.

Common measurements are 22 carat (91.67% gold), 18 carat (75% gold) and 9 carat (37.5%).

Gold Colour

Yellow gold is the most common colour. Yellow and white gold are similar in strength making them perfect for jewellery that is worn daily. White gold looks similar to platinum but has different properties.

Platinum

Platinum is the most durable of fine jewellery metals. It does not chip or splinter easily. It is similar in colour to white gold, but compared side by side, the difference is clear. All our Platinum rings are 95% pure platinum.

Titanium

Titanium is a strong, low-density, highly corrosion-resistant, lustrous white metallic element that occurs in igneous rocks. Titanium is Hypoallergenic; it will not leave marks on your skin.

Diamonds

Diamonds are crystallized forms of carbon. Except for trace impurities, a diamond is composed solely of carbon. A diamond is the hardest structure known to man; a diamond can only be scratched by another diamond.

Hallmarks

All rings are hallmarked by the UK Assay Office before leaving our premises.

How secure is the online Credit Card System we use?

Security is one of our main concerns and we guarantee to keep all your details confidential. Bayrings does not subscribe to any other company that may use your details. When you place an order by our secure server, your credit card details are protected from interception.

Our servers offer 256-bit SSL3 encryption of data transmissions, so your security is assured whenever you place an order. Depending on your browser, you will see a different confirmation that your connection is secure (on our checkout page). Generally it will be a small padlock on the top or at the bottom of your browser.
