2. Gold Selling Request
2.1 You can submit your selling request in the following ways:
Online: Filling the online Gold selling request form on this website
Phone: 0800 043 1390 or 012 6778 2595
2.2 Please complete the online form supplying us your full name and address plus your
contact phone number & email address. You will then be asked to give us an estimated
weight of the items you are sending with the approximate value, which you can find out by
using the online calculator, please also give a brief description of the items you are
sending. All fields marked with an asterisk must be completed.
2.3 Once you have completed your details on the online form, select 'confirm' to submit
your details. You will receive an on-screen acknowledgement with your reference number and
details of where to send your gold and/or gold jewellery. Please make a note of this
reference number for future reference. We will also send you an email acknowledgement that
we have received your Gold selling request.

3. Sending Goods
3.1 When packing your jewellery for postage, please enclose your name and the reference
number, received when you submitted your details.
3.2 You will need to ensure that your Goods are carefully wrapped to avoid any loss or
damage in transit. We may reject any envelope or package which has been opened, damaged or
tampered with and will return these to you. If the envelope has been damaged or tampered
with, we will advise you of this upon receipt. However we are not responsible for any
loss or damage occurring while the Goods are in transit to us.
3.3 For your own protection, we recommend you use a secure dispatch method like Royal Mail
Special Delivery, ensuring that the parcel has the right level of insurance in relation to
the value of the goods you are sending. Please ensure that you retain your proof of
postage. We are not responsible if your goods are lost or damaged in the post or are not
received by us.
3.4 By posting goods to us for purchase, you confirm the following.
- You are resident in the United Kingdom.
- You are over 18 years of age.
- You are the owner of the Goods you wish to sell to us, and have full authority to sell
the goods to Bay Rings (Bay Rings can, but shall not be required to, ask you to
provide documentation or other proof of such ownership).
- You are acting on your behalf and not as the agent or representative of another person.
3.5 By posting goods to us for purchase, you guarantee all of the following.
- The goods are sold free of all liens, encumbrances, liabilities, and adverse claims of
every nature and description whatsoever.
- No items sent to us are the result of illegal activity in the UK or any other country
and any transaction initiated by you will not cause Bay Rings to be in violation of
any anti-money laundering, anti-terrorism, or other applicable law of the United
Kingdom or any other country;
- You also agree not to send any hazardous material to Bay Rings and not to send Bay
Rings any material that does not contain precious metals.

4. Offer
4.1 Once your items have been received they will be weighed and tested by our expertly
trained team to determine their value, based on that day's precious metal markets.
4.2 By posting Jewellery to us for purchase, you accept that this process of determining
a value involves testing by placing certain acids on the gold, silver, platinum or other
items which can leave permanent staining and/or deep scratches. . If following valuation
we return your Goods for any reason, Bay Rings will not be liable for any damage caused in
this way or any resulting decrease in the value of the items.
4.3 We will notify you within 2 days of receipt of your Goods of whether we wish to make
an offer to purchase your Goods. Where we decide to make an offer, we will inform you by
email that your offer. We are under no obligation to make an offer to you.
4.4 Our offer will always include two options
We will offer you 100% value of your Gold, Platinum for a trade-in and upgrade on a new
wedding ring, engagement ring or any other item within our beautiful jewellery range.
We always offer cash as an alternative, the value of cash is based on the gold content of
your items and the current market value subject to refining costs.
4.5 The offer to purchase your Gold will be valid for 24 hours, after that time we may
need to change the price we can offer, due to fluctuations in the market price for Gold.
4.6 Where some or all of the goods are not precious metal and/or have no resale value and
we do not wish to make an offer, we will notify you of this. If in this case you want us
to return the goods, you must notify us within 7 days of receipt of offer, we will then
return the goods to you, however a post and packing charge may apply. If we don’t hear
from you after 7 days, we shall reserve the right to dispose of the goods at our
discretion, without any compensation payable to you.
4.7 Gemstones: We will only make offers for substantial Diamonds and
Gemstones in prime condition. However as on most occasions the cost to remove the
Gemstones from their settings will far outweigh its value to us, they therefore have no
intrinsic value. If you have an item that contains stones which you believe to be
valuable, or of sentimental value we recommend removing the stone(s) prior to sending it
in to us. Bay Rings will not be held responsible for loss or damaged precious or
semi-precious stones contained in your Property that is sent to us for valuation. Any
gemstones within items received will not be returned.
4.8 Where we otherwise decide not to make an offer to you, we will notify you of this and
we will return your goods to you at no cost to you.
4.9 If you accept our offer to purchase your goods, a contract becomes instant and
binding. Thereafter, you will not be able to get your Goods back. We intend to recycle
your goods immediately after the contract is agreed.
4.10 If it becomes apparent to us that you are not the owner of the goods you have sent to
us, we may at any time, before or after the contract is agreed, at our choice, either
return to you the goods we have received or return the goods (or the equivalent price) to
their true owner. If we return the goods (or the equivalent price) to the true owner of
the goods, we will not be responsible to you for returning the Goods or paying the
equivalent price to you.
4.11 We do not file details of your selling request for you to subsequently access direct
on this website, and therefore, please print out these terms and conditions and the
acknowledgement email for your own records. If you wish to obtain specific details of your
selling request please contact us.

5. Cancellation
5.1 If you change your mind before or after sending your goods to us, you can cancel your
request at any time until you have notified us that you have accepted our offer. In this
case we will return your goods at no cost to you.
5.2 If we return the Goods to you, and your Goods gets lost in the post, we will pay you
the amount that we would normally offer you for your Goods (or in accordance with any
quote we have provided to you if valid) subject to any restrictions in this terms and
Conditions or on this Site.

6. Payment
6.1 Once our offer has been accepted, we will arrange details with you, no later than the
working day after you accept our offer.
6.2 If you accept the trade in offer we will send you a discount voucher code for the
value of the offer to spend on a future purchase with us.
6.3 If you accept the payment option, we will pay by one of the following payment methods.
- Option A – Bank Transfer. We will deposit funds direct into your account. We will only
pay into accounts in the UK, with funds leaving our account the next working day after
you agree to our offer. There is no charge for this service. We will send you a
payment receipt confirming the money has been transferred.
- Option B – Cheque. We will send you a cheque via Royal Mail First Class Post, the next
working day after you have agreed to our offer made out in your name to the address
you supplied us when you submitted your selling request. There is no charge for this
service. We will also enclose a payment receipt.
- Option C – Cash. We can send you cash via Royal Mail Special Delivery, the next
working day after you have agreed to our offer to the address you supplied us when you
submitted your selling request. There will be a Post and Packing charge for this Cash
Service. Once the cash has been delivered and signed for, our obligations have been
fulfilled and we will not be liable if it then goes missing or does not reach you. For
this reason, we suggest that you only use this Cash via post service if you know and
trust everyone who lives at the address to which we are sending the cash.
6.4 Prices shown on our website and our offer are in Great British Pounds Sterling and we
will only make payment to you in GBP Sterling. As part of our commitment to the security
of our customers we may contact you to request further validation of your details.
6.5 We always try to ensure that the prices on Bayrings.co.uk are correct but errors may
occur. If we discover an error in prices on our website, or on the offer made to you, we
will inform you as soon as possible using the contact details you supplied us with. We
will then give you the option of reconfirming the offer at the correct price or cancelling
it. If you wish to decline the offer we will return your goods at no cost to you.

7. Security Policy
7.1 Security is one of our top priorities and we guarantee to keep all details you supply
us confidential.
7.2 Please also be aware that we also do not send your card details out with your goods
either - avoiding any possible security issues in transit.
7.3 When you place an order by our secure server, your credit card details are protected
from interception.
7.4 Our servers offer 256-bit SSL3 encryption of data transmissions, so your security is
assured whenever you place an order. Depending on your browser, you will see a different
confirmation that your connection is secure (on our checkout page). Generally it will be a
small padlock on the top or at the bottom of your browser.
